This is a 72 hour training, and is only one of several elements required for PRSS certification. It is specifically for individuals who have at least one year of demonstrable recovery from addiction and/or mental health challenges. Participants get an understanding that the relationship between peers is characterized by mutual trust and respect, sharing of experiences, learning about the recovery process, supporting the peer in multiple settings, achieving goals and moving toward a more meaningful life in the community.
Date of next training = TBD
Volunteer internships are available at SAARA for fulfillment of 500 hour certification requirement. For details, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
