SAARA FACTS

Eighteen months to two years is the recommended length of active addiction treatment to achieve sustained recovery.

More than 704,000 individuals in Virginia need treatment for a substance use disorder, but at least 80% of those people are not receiving treatment.

Treatment services need to move from an acute care model to a recovery management model in order to help people initiate and sustain recovery.
