SAARA Launches ‘Voices for Recovery’ Campaign

SAARA of Virginia is proud to announce our Voices for Recovery campaign as part of our continuous effort to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). For this ongoing project, we will highlight a diverse range of individuals in recovery, as well as their loved ones, as they share their personal experiences, challenges, and victories in overcoming this disorder.

We hope that by elevating personal, humanizing stories from those with first-hand experience, we will not only encourage people in active addiction to seek recovery, but demonstrate to the community at large that addiction is not a moral failing, but a disorder that can be overcome with the proper combination of treatment and support. By opening this conversation up to people in recovery across the commonwealth, we seek to change the narrative about addiction, expanding empathy and support for greater access to life-saving recovery resources.
